Peppernuts / peppernuts in 200-gram package.

Our Peppernuts contain the most spices and are crisply baked in our 90-meter oven to an original recipe from 1880.

Although our naming suggests otherwise, our factory does indeed make Peppernuts. Peppernut is actually the original name of the cookie. It is the family name under which all kinds of Peppernuts fall. One of them is the spiced nut, which you see a lot of nowadays. But still we stick to the name pepernoot. That's the popular name that also appears in many songs. It's much nicer. Kruidnoot sounds anonymous to us.

The distinction actually came about around the 1970s, to indicate that there are more spices in the spice nut than in the original pepper nut. The cookie was then called spiced peppercorn, so it just belongs to the peppercorn family. We still have the old packaging lying around!

Contents: 200 grams

Ingredients: wheat flour, sugar, vegetable oils (palm, rapeseed), glucose syrup, spices (includes cinnamon), raising agents (sodium carbonates, ammonium carbonates, diphosphates), salt, roasted sugar, coloring agent (ammonia caramel), whole milk powder, invert sugar syrup.

May contain traces of egg, nuts, peanuts, sesame and soy.

Nutritional values per 100g: energy 1802kJ 427kcal, fats 11g, of which saturated 5.4g, carbohydrates 75g, of which sugars 31g, protein 6.3g, salt 1.43g.
